Help needed with laptop

Can anyone help please. I have a toshiba r850 and it is driving me insane. Every time I try typng the cursor jumps to a different part of my sentence and I end up have to delete and retype.

I've tried updating the drivers as I saw on a website but still no joy. Please can anyone advise. Is this a permanent problem or something that can be solved? I've had this laptop for about 7 weeks and I use it regularly for report writing so you can imagine my frustration.

Couple of places say this




1. Go to Control Panel
2. Click on "Mouse"
3. Click on "Pointer Options"
4. Uncheck "Hide pointer while typing"
5. Click "Apply"
5. Click "OK"

Another one says this

START / CONTROL PANEL (classic view) / HARDWARE AND SOUND / MOUSE / MOUSE PROPERTIES / on TAPPING tab / uncheck box "Tap off when typing", click APPLY, CLICK OK .

Thank you so much Santer. I think you have solved my problem! I disabled the tapping and I have tried it out. I have never been able to type so much and not gone back on my work.
I will continue to try it out but already its great:j
