Ebay Idiots

I've been ebaying for a few years now and I seem to be a magnet for absolute idiot buyers.

I once sold the computer game 'Left 4 Dead' on the xbox 360. It had all it's instruction manuals and was in perfect condition. I emailed him after he won it and sent it the very next day after receiving payment.A few days later after he received it, he left me negative feedback for the purchase. And what was his reason for this I hear you ask? Despite speedy delivery and good comms he was not a happy bunny. He wrote in his feedback, ' I played the game but really didn't enjoy it that much.'..................I sold you the game, I DIDN'T MAKE THE GAME YOU IDIOT!!!

No one seems to bother reading the description either. I once tried to send a nike shox trainer(only the left shoe) and wrote several times in large black bold font that it wasn't a pair. Sure enough one idiot won it and went ballistic at me when she received it.

  • I sold an audio book a few years ago and got a neutral "quick delivery but didn't like the voice" :(

Think I may have got off lightly there :rotfl:

There are certainly some funny people about! I had a similar experience on Amazon when I sold a DVD. Only got 3 stars because it was an "OK" film that I sold for almost nothing!

However if it helps if I ever read that type of neg feedback it wouldn't put me off buying from that seller. In fact I'd probably feel sorry for them. Annoying though. :)
  • I've been selling on ebay for about 7 years now, after moving from a 3 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom flat, i had a lot of stuff, clutter and junk to get rid of and have been working my way through a storage container slowly...

Everything was great until christmas 2011. Then something changed, I've had more non paying bidders and attempted scammers since christmas than in the previous 6 odd years... are they putting something in the water? Is it down to peoples brains being sucked out by facebook?

Out of every 4 items sold this year, i have at least one problem (25% of ALL sales so far...)

I'm really considering just taking what's left down to the tip as i'm getting close to snapping with the idiotic excuses for non payment.

Sold an item yesterday, £5 with free postage in the uk.
    Winning bidder - Norway.
Added the difference to the postage as allowed by ebay, they paid. No Problem.
Sent them a message stating it would be posted first thing monday and thanked them for their purchase/payment etc.

Got a message this morning that the postage was too high...offered to cancel and refund. got a feeling they will leave a neg for their own stupidity...

I sold something breakable once and got a neutral saying it was too well packed.

I asked her what she meant and she said I sent it in a box, she said I should have sent it in a jiffy bag. I told her it would have broken in a jiffy and it would have cost the same to post too. She refused to revise her feedback

    xx
  • I had someone leave (all though it was positive feedback), that a pair of shoes I sold them, was too small. A bit odd I thought, since I'm not Dorothy Perkins and didn't make the shoes myself.

I also sold a Region 2 (UK and Europe) DVD to someone in America via eBay UK, who then complained that the DVD wouldn't work.
