Swallow Tree Gardens Pembrokeshire

I've just returned from a weeks holiday in Saundersfoot, Pempbrokeshire.
We stayed at Swallow Tree Gardens and it was a lovely experience!
I had booked a caravan, but on arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a lodge as they were installing new lodges near our caravan and didnt want us to be inconvenienced by the noise.
The lodge was absolutely lovely with a beautiful view! comfy sofas and beds with plump pillows (I didnt need to use the ones I took with me). Sky and WiFi too!
The park is very small but its landscaped prettily and there is plenty of room. vehicles are not allowed between the caravans or lodges so its really safe for kids to play.
If you like wildlife you will LOVE this park! every day the bunnies come out to play. in the evening you are treated to displays of aireal acrobatics by the bats and if you are very lucky a fox will saunter right past your deck!
I didnt take advantage of the pool or the beauty therapy but I was told it was very good. The restuarant is excellent (but you do need to book at busy times!)
There is a path down to the beach - but it IS hard going for someone with disability issues! easier to head into Saundersfoot which is just a few minutes by car.

I loved our week there - trouble is the lodge has now spoilt me for Caravans! will have to save harder cos I am determined to have a holiday in one of those new lodges next year!

  • I've driven around that site while staying at another in the area - I was really impressed by the landscaping, they'd obviously put a lot of thought into it.

Nice to hear the staff have some common sense regarding you being inconvenienced by noise. What a rarity!

Yes, the landscaping is exceptional, some of the caravans seem surrounded by garden! The roses were in bloom on the rose arches over the path and the smell was gorgeous!
Yes, It was nice of them to move us away from the work area, not many sites would do that, so the gesture was really appreciated!
We had a lovely, peaceful week and it really re-charged the batteries!

There's also this one, quite similar, which I also had a drive around and was impressed with: http://www.saundersfootbay.co.uk/
It's off the main road into Saundersfoot.

Looks nice but it says nothing is for rental..
