Preference Stocks

Hi. I am looking for some preference stocks to invest in. I can't find a website which filters for these, only for ordinary stocks. Does anyone know a website which allows you to filter preference stocks in either the UK or US market?

Here. Look for the pref shares options on the left

  • Thank you.

Is there a website for non-financial preference stocks?

Same site. Click on the link that says "Preference Shares Prices and Details (non Finance sector)".

As the prices in the spreadsheet come from the LSE you are more likely to see figures present during trading hours.

The Barclays one looks good but requires min 10k.

Its 20% yield to redemption which is 2015. I know someone with 50k of Barc would they be better off switching to some of this ?

The share yield is 3% so would that make it 9% in comparison to holding till 2015 with the prefs?

The STAN ones look similar to the normal shares I guess. Lloyds look good despite being suspended I think they will pay again

Not sure which one you are looking at. I can only see a 6% Barclays pref share (XS0222208539) which offers a running yield of 17% to 15/12/2017. As with many of the high yield ones there is a catch - they don't have to call it in which case from that point it switches to paying LIBOR + 142bp, so it rather depends on what LIBOR is doing at the time as to whether it is worth it.
