hey folks,
had a great deal on compare the market on my car insurance saving£100- but my old insurer wanted £65 to cancel the policy! oh well you live and learn

Put a note in your diary (or whatever system you use to remember birthdays, MOT's dentists) ONE MONTH before.
You will not be able to get quotes more than one months before but this will give you plenty of time to search the market plus lapse any existing policy i.e. make sure it doesn't renew.

I have a series of calendar on icloud which is really useful as I share the ones I want with my husband.
I have one for financial dates e.g. insurance policies, one for birthdays and even one for which days to put our 4 different bins out.

It doesn't matter what the system is but you need to be pro-active.
You must do this alreay for birthday cards as you need to buy them before someone's birthday arrives.
