Claiming on an Old Cahoot Flexi Loan

Hi, probably a long shot but I've seen a lot of stuff on here about PPI claims on old Cahoot Flexi Loans. I had one approx' 10-12 years ago and it's long gone in terms of payments, (I eventually moved the loan to another lender). My problem is that I'm fairly sure I'm due back some PPI, etc, but can't find any record of the agreement in terms of account numbers, etc, or even the original amount borrowed.
Is there anything I can do to trace the info I need to instigate a claim???

    Hi and welcome

If you are still with the same bank where you paid the direct debits for the loan, they may check this out for you, you could call into the local branch and ask.

Or if you bank online with the same bank, this may allow you to go back so many years, it can vary from one bank to the other.
For example, if the loans were taken out say 10 or 12 years ago, but were still active in the last 6 to 8 years, you may be lucky to retrieve the account number details.
The account number is generally shown next to the name of the lender and the monthly loan repayments.

So basically, as soon as you have these details, and you have any reason to make a reclaim, (and if you were sold ppi), you can continue to make a reclaim by completing the reclaim questionnaire below link, send to the complaints dept or head office, keep copies for your records in case you need to refer back to it again at some point.

However, if you want to contact the loan business before hand by giving them as many details as possible, to include any name changes, addresses, also date of birth, they may be able to track down the details.

    Hope this helps, good luck.
