Have you thought about an ottoman bed?

just got one myself for my daughter previous bed was against the wall but we have placed this one with access to both sides (if there wasn't a clothes rail at one side) and its definitely easier to access the storage space than having drawers

We looked at Ottoman one in Ikea but even OH struggled to lift it. Then yesterday we saw some faux leather ones with gas lift. Easy to open but the wooden slats underneath didn't look upto much and the faux leather had snagged where you lift the bed. The other downside with the leather frame one is although we do have enough room for it DD likes her room loo
king spacious and as we have put in a large double wardrobe then the room could start to look crowded!

Okay, memory foam, pocket sprung and one end drawer! How do I know how firm the mattress is though?

Searching this bed on other sites says it's open coil!!!!

Judging by the description 12.5 gauge spring, then yes it's an open coil mattress.

What was wrong with the 2 I suggested? The Silk 1000 and the Cashmere?

The Rest Assured one does look nice though.

I've emailed them to ask about drawers as one of the companies I contacted said I could have the two drawers on one side for no extra (furnishyourhome) so I've asked the other companies. I would ring but I've been in work all day and no answer now I'm home. The cashmere one doesn't have memory foam and DD really wants memory foam. However I'm so tempted to spend the extra £100 on the rest assured one because although DD going to Uni in 14 months time she will always need a bed at home and a decent bed will last a good 10 years when she may have company!!! So is it a false economy to buy a cheaper bed! Oh decisions, decisions!

Oh now I've found the silk one not only cheaper but with 2 drawers same side

this might be my decider if my OH won't go extra £80!!
