Credit card charges buying gift vouchers

Options
Hi, first thread. Apologies if this has already been answered, searched and didn't find anything.

My question is, as we know cash withdrawals or purchases on a credit card will get you stuck with the fees, does that also include buying gift cards, vouchers?

I'm wanting to get some gift cards from tesco and put them on my credit card but I won't if I'm going to get the "cash transaction charges"

Does anybody know? Thanks

When they are included with your shopping, they are regarded as purchases, so I don't see why they shouldn't be the same when bought with a CC.

Some places are funny about it though, but they just refuse your payment method (never noticed Tesco do this)

    So your fine.
