What should I use a fairfx card for?

Options
I got one of these when it was free to book flights with Ryanair; now I've £42 left on it and I don't know what to do with it. Any tips of best value way to spend this money?

Work out what the fee will be for a) retail spend and b) ATM and decide how much you really got to spend and use it?

I can't remember the fees, but if £2 for ATM go withdraw £40.

spend it on whatever you like. I'm sure you don't need help to spend £40 lol

    I just double checked...

If you use an ATM, you can withdraw £40, get charged £1.50 and have £0.50 on the card lying around.

If you use in a retail store, you can spend £41.41, get charged £0.58 and have £0.01 on the card lying around

This is based on you having a standard card with them.

    Also, just received this...

As you know, your card can be used anywhere in the world where you see the MasterCard Acceptance Mark – this can be in shops or restaurants, on-line or to withdraw cash from ATMs. Fees for many transactions are zero but depending on where you use your card or if you withdraw cash from ATMs some fees are incurred and are summarised in the fee table, here, fairfx.com/whatitcosts.

You may or may not also know that funds can be withdrawn from your card by taking it into a Bank branch. Unfortunately these banks impose an over the counter charge for this service, and as from Tuesday 11th September, cash withdrawn in this way will now cost 1.5% with a minimum charge of €6.25/£5/$7.50 which will enable us to cover our costs.

We recommend that you stick to using ATMs to withdraw any cash that you may need as this will typically be a cheaper method to use.

If you have any questions about this new fee or the use of your card, please e-mail pct.enquiries@banctec.com.
