Afternoon

Can anyone tell me what Vauxhall Meriva (61 plate) fault code 82 is please? It has just appeared on my driver panel and I don't know if it's 'don't drive the car anywhere and call out recovery' or 'drive to a local dealer' situation.

Cheers

Many thanks - I've done just under 17,000 miles from new in October 2011 so that makes perfect sense. I'll book it in on Monday.

How far can the car be safely driven? There aren't any garages open on a Saturday afternoon and so it can't be done until Monday at the earliest and now I've had some news which may mean I have to travel 160 miles tomorrow - is it doable without any damage to the car?

Will be fine to use as long as oil level is ok,just warning you the oil is due for replacement so will not be working as well as fresh oil

Many thanks! The oil level warning light is not lit, only the little orange car with spanner through it and the odometer has been replaced with 'Code 82'.

Thanks for setting my mind at rest, it's appreciated. My mother has been taken ill and I can now drive up north without worrying about the car.
