Is the Halifax affected as well?

Just logged in to my Halifax account online, I can see the account balances but cannot view any statements or pay bills or transfer money.

My fiance has just said the same of his Lloyds TSB account. I'm with Natwest so he's dealing with all of our finances until this is fixed, and I'm owing him money - he just went to write down what he's paid for for me, and his statement only shows his most recent transaction.

It could be the case, that BACS has suspended all the banks operating, until RBS has made some progress. If RBS has 200 million transactions backed up and more is being added to this, because of the transactions emanating from other banks, BACS may be helping with this nightmare.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Pass. If it does, then there could be a delay in some DD's going through. Something to think about when withdrawing any cash. Get a mini-statement, to check what payments have gone through, before you take cash out.

Right now, both Halifax and Lloyds TSB work ok. I didn't tried to make any payments but the balances and past transactions are shown.
You wanna hear about my new obsession?
I'm riding high upon a deep recession...
  • I logged in using the Bank of Scotland site and everything was as it should be.

Must have been a hitch that only applied to the Halifax.
