Lol. Such bad advice time and time again, i'm very quickly learning post count is not an indicator of accuracy or even basic common sense.
Tactful I am completely gobsmacked to be honest. I was desperate for help & thought I had turned to the right place. Clearly not!
My probationary period is for 6 months & my notice is for 4 weeks. I gave 2 weeks notice, due to my illness. I dont know if that makes a difference or not 0 0

You have come to the right place, I think there are good people here that like to help just occasional nutters also!
I think princessdon asked some great questions that drill to the nub of your problem. If you answer them that will definately help
 Q. When you gave 2 weeks notice did you do this in writing (e-mail is just fine?) - and did you receive an aknowledgement that it was accepted?0

How many hours you worked (since joining)
How many hours if any you have been paid (since joining)
If you submitted a fit note at all or a self cert
Hi Princessdon I have worked a total of 57.5 hours, plus £112 sleepover. On top of that I have a bit of mileage.
I have had no pay, as pay day was due just after I started, so my manager asked me if I wanted to wait until next time, which is what I did.
I did not submit a sick-note, as I was only going to be off a week & could self cert. But as it turned out my illness deterioration, meant I could not return. At no point has she been in touch with me regarding the situation, I even dropped a football off, that had been left in my boot.
These problems have only arisen once I was due my wages!
I hope this answers your questions, its just hard for me to get all the details on here, so everyone knows the exact situation.0

And clearly post count is an indicator in your case. Probation is nothing to do with notice periods and you have been told this by several people here. But if the OP is happy to hear what they want to hear, regradless of the fact it is incorrect...0

I gave the notice in email & she replied, saying that she was shocked & hoped that I felt better soon. but there was no problem with it, as if she had said it was a problem, I would have gone back to work the further 2 weeks!0

Right wages entitlement can now be worked out
Did you self cert to them?
 What are your holidays?
You Are due wages - we can work out if your claim should involve more. like sick pay.0

Keep hold of the email exchange, It could defend you against a counter claim from your former employer.I have just answered Princessdon's questions, just took me some time to work it all out lol.

Thank you for your help. I have not sent her anything up to now, like I said she accepted my explanation over the email & has not requested anything further from me. Should I get a self cert posted off to her?
I am entitled to 28 days holidays a year, this equates to 210 per year, as we do shifts not 9-5.
My contract states that I am not entitled to contractual sick pay. Also there is no mention on here of having to repay the CRB costs!0
