Teachers need the support of parents. How can they deal with a disruptive child during the day when the parents let them sit on game consoles for the evening?
Then if the teacher tries to tell the parent that their child's behaviour is difficult what does the parent hear?? What they want to hear, not what's actually being said.
The one thing I always look for at parent teacher meeting etc is how my child behaves in class. If their behaviour is good then everything else follows. If the behaviour is not good then I will tackle it.
I am confused as to why you direct this at me. I agree with everything you say. Unfortunately it was the school who wouldn't follow up on anything with my son. He has ADHD/Dyspraxia and now query bipolar.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
Does he get enough sleep? Does he find it hard to wind down and actually rest?
I'm not suggesting its a cure all for everything, but my daughter can concentrate and focus on things so much better when she is properly rested. I hope I'm not being patronising, telling you something that you already know, but its something so simple and yet so easily overlooked. I find that by the time my husband gets home from work in the evening, he wants to spend time with her, do some reading with her etc and before you know it, she should have been in bed ages ago. Its so easy for it to creep up on you.0
