    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi all

    Sorry I've been a bit awol, have had real life up to my ears but feel like I'm making some serious in roads with it all. Essentially, work are funding my postgrad, so thats a lot of money this year I don't have to panic about!! I don't think I would have done it for a few years (save up the money) but as they are offering...!!

    Also, the bf asked me to move in :D The big move happens September / October (he is away for work from July until end of August). So, I have until then to pay off the CC!! The loan clears in Jan 2013, and having found out the early exit fee, I will actually be better off paying them the fixed amounts until then!

    In the spirit of it all:

    * NSD today
    * 3 items on eBay
    * Old CDs/ DVDs / Games put through to music magpie, hearty £65 and they will collect on Friday so that was easy! Just need to find a box for them all to go in!
    * I have given my friend with little ones a load of hamster housing (I have it in the cupboard, havent had a hamster for 4 years :rotfl:), will drop it to her on Thurs and hopefully will get a free dinner in exchange!
    * Need to look in to selling a load of books, fiction and old uni text books, will do so later when the insomnia hits. Anyone any ideas?

    Hope all are well

    S x

    (PS - La E - I voted for your puppy. What a CUTIE!!)
    I have enough money for the rest of my life... as long as I never have to pay for anything again!

    I'm not doing too badly.

    Yesterday was a total NSD.
    Today I had to buy a birthday present (£7, I'll paint the charm I ordered up to look like somebody's dog) and a swimming costume (£13, keeping the tags on incase I don't actually need it!) for a trip to Wales where it is on the essentials kit list.

    I also went out on my bike for the first time in a couple of years. Ideally I'd like to substitute some car journeys for bike journeys instead. Possibly just at the weekend initially whilst I get fit, but I only get 200 miles out of a £35 tank because it's constant traffic and stop start, so I think that a bike might actually be quicker as well as cheaper in the long run. Plus I'm trying to drop a dress size within 2 months so it'll help with that too!
