I'm hoping the CEO has to offer me the job but has been too busy today.

Give them a call and ask them, they should have made up their mind now and it will put you out of your uncertainty!

It makes me sick to hear this. I promised to get back to candidates last week Thursday and made a point of getting back to them 2 days early (some on the same day as their interview) because I know they are going to be waiting on the outcome.

They could at least have had the courtesy to call you and tell you the decision has been delayed.

Good luck! I hope you hear soon.

Congratulations - I assume that you now know your pay, hours, holidays etc. etc. ?

Ps - why start on Friday ? (if it was the 1st of the month I could understand) ?

I do indeed, well there is another girl doing night shifts (24 hour office operation) so we are both going in during the day on Friday to learn things together, meet everyone and contract starts from that day. on Monday I will start my day shift and she will start her night shift.
