Ncd certificate rejected
Hi i recently took out bike insurance with bennets, my previous insurance was a home fleet policy with tradex. previous to that i had a policy on my bike only.
I told bennets i had 2 years NCD and showed them my cert from tradex. they have rejected this as they dont accept fleet policies and therefore will have to hike up my insurance by £200, from £450 to £650. or i can cancel the policy for £180.
i told them that no where in their small print does it say they dont accept fleet policies, if they wish to discontinue insuring me then they should do so without charging me a cancellation fee of 180gbp.
they refuse to do this and said they dont deal with home fleet policies they so dont include it in their small print.
I pay by DD so can always cancel it but im afraid they may come after me??
Also i havn't signed and returned the credit agreement issued by their underwriters close premium fincance so can they really do anthing if I cancel my DD??
