La Redoute are sorry, but how sorry?

I keep receiving emails from La Redoute telling me that they're sorry that their website was down and want offer me £10. But of course I only get this £10 as a deduction on a purchase of £40.
It seems strange to me that a company would send me emails apologising for something and then ask me to hand over £30 of my money. If they're truly sorry they should just give me the money as a cheque, asking money from me is just rubbing salt in the wounds.
So, I think every time they apologise I should demand more money with the condition of me giving them money dropped.
Here's a draft email:
Any ideas on what I can add to it?
If you didn't guess, this is a joke. But I think disguising spam as an apology is in rather silly and La Redoute deserve some silliness in return.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently received an email from you titled "We're Really Sorry!" apologising for the amount of time website maintenance took and an offer of "£10 off* when you spend £40 or more".
First of all I'm disgusted by the offer of £10. I spent at least three hours at my computer pressing 'F5' whilst missing my favourite TV shows so £10 just doesn't cut it. Secondly I think it's an outrageous insult that you want me to spend £40 before I can get my £10 compensation.
I think it would be more appropriate if you compensated me in the way of a cheque, I think £40 would be more appropriate. Please send this to my home address as soon as possible.
In any case please reply within 14 days to avoid legal action.
Kind regards,
Valued customer

They have been doing this for years, really annoys me, so much so that I now no longer order from them, that'll learn em!!!0

vertbaudet are the same (usually come the same time as the la redoute emails)
in my opinion i think it makes their company look shambolic.
it is just a spam technique and it really annoys me... especially when they make the money of codes almost impossible to actually use!0 -

La Redoute are the worst spammers in the world. I cancelled my account with them purely because I couldn't cope with the amount of shite they sent me."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I don't have an account with them but e-mails of that type seem to be getting much more common.0

I know what you mean, I rarely go a week now without a similar email. Cotton Traders have started this tactic too now. It's totally counter-productive with me, I prefer not to use with such unreliable e-commerce systems.0 -
Loads of companies do this. I don't think you'll get very far unfortunately.0
