I am really beginning to wish that I had looked at Trip Advisor before booking with National Holidays to go for 5 days.
I imagine that there will be service buses to places outside the holiday camp.
Can anyone suggest anywhere please.
I believe we have a 1 day trip out to Blackpool:eek:
Can we get to the Blackpool Zoo from Pontins.
I'm beginning to panic, I havent told my OH, he is in blissful ignorance but he is not going to like it.

Blackpool is quiet a long way from pontins but easily doable by car and poss bus but not to my knowledge, Southport and Liverpool are easy and the bus straight outside for these. Ainsdale beach is on your doorstep and should be used if your at pontins. From last september Pontins has been home to about 300 students based at Liverpool uni (ormskirk mainly)Because of the price of beer in the clubhouse you wont see many around but they do make a good noise coming back from Liverpool at about 4am (although its settled down alot now and theyve been warned by security. Sorry to be the bearer. ( They are breaking up now and heading home so you should be fine and dandy.) although most things about pontins southport are right:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Sorry cant resist jopsey, I do have children x 2.
They are aged 42 and 39:rotfl::rotfl: I'm 62 when I look in the mirror but 30 in the head lol.
Seriously though, we are going with National Holidays, monday to Friday so if we go off camp we will be using public transport.
Wednesday is the trip into Blackpool (i think) so was thinking of some way to fill the other 2 days up.
We stayed for a few days in Southport earlier in the year at the Prince of Wales and visited Churchtown, we may do that again. It was a lovely few days although quiet because it was February.
regards

Lord St is a great place with nice shops and decent cafes/restraunts . Southport is very nice and the gardens along the prom are a nice weather place to go. Liverpool is a great city full of history and tourism . Liverpool 1 for shops .Albert Dock & in between for Bars. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
