Advice please!

Someone broke into out garden and stole something last Saturday night. They were clearly opportunists. It was something we had hired, plant equipment. I am not sure whether its worth claiming on the contents insurance. Direct Line do cover this. My contents insurance due renewal next month

Had a freezer claim earlier in the year for £140, so no no claims bonus

Shall we just pay for it or claim? I really am not sure

How much is it likely to cost if you replace the equipment?
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

Still waiting to hear back from the company, hopefully no more than £400 as it is they owe us money (they took a deposit when we hired it)

It's highly unlikely that your next premium will go up by anything like that. I would be tempted to put it through the insurance.
