Any hl users can shed light on this I'd be grateful.

Just bundling some pension funds into an hl SIPP.

Yesterday it was all 100% cash.

Bought three funds and the transaction list shows their purchase today 22/6. Yesterday they were pending.

The trans for one shows:

22/06/2012 28/06/2012 B332493861 Australian Natural Resources Income Units 132.92 3,761.624 -5,000.00

Purchase price £132.92

But the price today shows:

Sell : 136.43p | Buy : 136.43p | down 3.02p
Prices as at 21-06-2012

But my account shows a big fat profit (well for a few hours ;)):

Australian Natural Resources
Income Units 3,761.624 136.43 5,131.98 5,000.00 131.98 2.64

I had thought there was one evaluation point per day. Any one any thoughts on this.

IIRC, HL are fairly slow at updating the prices on the site. So the price on the contract note will be the correct one, and the performance page will be showing the correct number of units but at the old price.

The trustnet portfolio tracking thingy tends to update prices much sooner.

psychic teabag that I can understand but within 24 hours I have bought at a low price (well below the prices in the previous two days) and have then showed a profit - all within 24 hours for a fund that seems to say it is priced at 10am each day!!

That infers a minimum of two price changes within 24 hours unless I'm missing something (yup no great shock there :j)

ps I'll report back tomorrow. I've been very lucky lately, maybe it is a free bonus :rotfl:

And this morning it is sorted. I'll watch when the next buys go through and study it in detail. Something odd me thinks

Just an observation there are a few bugettes on the hl search pages but I must admit I like the hl web pages better than many others I've tried and especially the portfolio analysis. Hopefully it will get even better over time :)

Looking today, the price on HL is 132.59p, down 3.84p. Assuming all updates have now gone through, this is presumably Friday 22nd's price point, which is consistent with Thursday (21st) price being (132.59 + 3.84) = 136.43

So the contract on Friday showed Friday's price paid (132.59) but the rest of HL's site, including the portfolio page, continued to show Thursday's price (136.43).

    So portfolio page (incorrectly) reported 3761.624 units @ 136.43 = £5,131.98
    Real value is 3761.624 * 132.59 = £4987.54 ( = £5000 less 0.25% initial charge)

So I think it's behaving consistently.
