Does this really offer a 10% holiday discount if booked through Thomas Cook?
I'm about to book a holiday for July 2013, and it's going to cost £5k+
Would it be worthwhile signing up to advantage gold, just for the thomas cook discount? or will the upto 10% be more like 1%

Well for starters your going through the most expensive travel agents so your going to lose hundreds anyway so 10% is not going to make any difference.
Try gem holidays or On the beach...0 -

The reason I mentioned gem holidays As we booked up Spain last year for 4 of us all inclusive and was so much cheaper then thomas cook I think really take the biscuit with their prices.0 -
Just priced one holiday on gem holidays.
4 adults, 2 children 14nights staying at the Club Paradise Beach apartments AI. Portinatx, Ibiza. £4631 on gem. 15th July 2013
The same holiday is on Thomas Cook for £4248 but the flight is on the 17th July 2013, and includes 2 rooms instead of 6 shoved into 1 room. shuttle transfers as well.
Sites like on the beach and similar ones can be cheaper, but i guess not always.0 -
Not sure about Natwest bank account.
Although you can get cashback for Thomas cook from Top Cashback 2.5-5.5% - http://www.topcashback.co.uk/thomas_cook/ So you might get £100+ back.0 -

Yes. Disclaimer I work for Natwest
I booked a holiday that was £4243 and they came in at £3841.
They don't just use Thomas Cook. They also use thomson, first choice, hayes and javis, Kuoni, If only and Virgin to name but a few
Not always the cheapest but when they throw in airport lounges for free and they don't charge the 2.25 or 2.5% for using a credit card it's a great deal.0 -
