Carbon Monoxide Detector, replacing batteries?
My CO detector has started to bleep one a minute which indicates the batteries have given up. The expiry date of the detector itself is March next year. I've removed the current batteries to stop the bleep and the manufacturer have recommended I return it to them to be reset so it will work once more until the expiry date.
Surely I can just change the batteries for new AAA can't I? Do they really reset anything else?
Obviously appreciate safely is key, which is why I'm asking, because if I do need to return it to them, I'll have to buy another so I'm not without for days/weeks.
