What are reasonable conveyancing costs for a purchase of a 185k house. I've been quoted 2.7k (including stamp duty).
Or if anyone can recommend a solicitor in Newcastle it'd be great
Thanks!

Dear Nat
Considering that stamp duty is already £1,850. So conveyancing itself is £850.
If this is a usual quotation which include basic solicitor fees, disbursement and basic searches, I could tell you straight away based on my personal experience, this is already a reasonable price. I have got a few quotations in the past for the value of propoerties quite similar to yours.
The next move is just to make sure that you get a good solicitor who you could contact easily. He is doing his job and do what you instruck them as quick as possible without delay.
Just in case you have not come across, For comparison you could have a look on this comparsion website.
