Euros paid into UK bank account.

I'll be working overseas pretty soon and my salary will be paid in euros. Does anyone have/had a similar situation? What type of account did you open for it, if any?

Thanks

Who do you bank with? I know that Barclays will let you open a Euro account and has a better rate of exchange when transferring over to your sterling account.

I don't know about anyone else because I don't bank with anyone else. I expect HSBC and maybe NWB will have the same sort of facility too.

Most banks will be able to arrange an euro account. I use LTSB International>

, they give a good exchange rate and charge free transfers to my UK account.

You might want to open an account in the country you will be working in?

I would probably open a bank account in the country you're working in, and use a good FX broker when I want to transfer funds to my UK account.
