caravan insurance for renting out touring caravan

I am having an awful problem trying to get insurance on a touring caravan which is stationed on my own property, secured to the maximum. I have been told because it is not a static caravan not on a registered site I cannot get insurance to rent it out on a weekly/2 weekly basis, i.e. holiday let. I can let family and friends use it under the insurance I have but not to rent out. Does anyone know of an Insurance Broker that will issue insurance on this? The caravan will stay on my property - not for touring use.

I think there could be a planning issue here too. While you are allowed to use a caravan in your own garden as extra space or for guests, I don't think you are allowed to hire it out without planning permission. So that may be one reason why you cannot get insurance.0

Hi Jennifernil,
Thank you for your reply this is something I will check out with the Council on Monday but the major issue I am getting is that it is not a static caravan ie. has no wheels.0
