Ebay and adult material

I've just had a recent auction for 11 copies of Maxim cancelled because they breach their adult materials policy - if this is the case, why have they got a Maxim option when listing?
Any ideas what more I could have done wrong?!

dont know...another seller of the mag may have reported you....
Ebay only seem to pull listings if someone has reported
some cover pics not acceptable?0 -
i had a similar problem a couple years ago with a FHM mag, i made a complaint to ebay and they said the only reason the item would have been removed is because someone made a complaint. it was quite silly as i had already sold 3 fhm mags before this one. I think ebay should take a look at the item before removing it and then they would realise there is nothing wrong with it.0

So it is OK for Maxim to be exhibited on the shelves at eye level in WH Smith and other newsagents but it is not OK to list it on Ebay?

Ebay are weird sometimes.
Actually I agree with Ebay. Maxim is an awful magazine.
I don’t mind the tits, the acres of flesh or the sexual titillation, I just don’t like the awful dumbing down it promotes.

This is just crazy- This is 2007 and its a bloody magazine that you can get from most newsagents. I would see the point if it was a mail order only itemIf I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0

I had a bid on this item too, any way I can find out who bid on it? I would like to be able to offer them the chance to take the magazines off my hands outside of ebay seeing ebay are being complete idiots about it.
(I know this is against ebay rules, but what else am I supposed to do?!)0 -
cant find out the bidder if the listing has been removed0

Ebay's whol policy against "adult" material is archaic and appears to be the result of pressure from religious fundamentalists in the USA.
One can go into any branch of Sainsbury and buy a range of products that are banned on eBay.Can I help?0 -
Typical eBay - they don't bother investigating whether the item ought to be removed, they just take the lazy option and remove almost anything that's reported (usually by rival sellers). It's nuts (no, not Nuts!)0

Fundamentalists are usually up in arms about something or another..."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."
