HPI Check shows Inconsistant Mileage

Had someone interested in my car but then phoned to say they had done a HPI check on it and the mileage was inconstant. So I spent £20 and she is right: -

13-Apr-2005 - Trade Association - 16,138
15-Feb-2007 - Trade Association - 13,428
20-Jun-2009 - Trade Association - 40,000

I bought it in April 2009 and it had 69,000 on the clock. So who has told them it is only 40,000 in June 2009?

I'm stuffed now as no one will want to buy it with the decrease in mileage.

Have you got any service history items / MOT's that correspond to the dates? If you do any the information is conflicting (the HPI is wrong), there must be a way to get it amended.

Sadly there is no mention of mileage on service records and I only have MOT from when I had it after 2009.

What mileage is it on now? Any online MOT history?

You can check ALL the MOTs for your car for free, these will include the mileages noted at the time of the test.
