Where did bid go?

I have an item listed on eBay which had one bid for a few days, now suddenly it's back to 0 bids, but I don't seem to have any notification as to why this is. If someone retracts a bid or gets suspended or something, shouldn't I have a message on My Ebay about it? I don't remember the bidder's ID so I can't look up their profile.

Ebay won't bother to send you a message if there's been a retraction - it'll be on the bottom of the bids screen.
Report them for an invalid retraction... once you identify them

Fay, do you sit by your computer all day posting helpful replies to MSEers who are struggling with ebay?
I’m not complaining as your knowledge and advice is usually spot on.
I just wondered how much Martin is paying you and are there any vacancies?

I do remember getting a message (it was ages ago mind) when someone retracted a bid before.
This time, I clicked the "0 bids" to get the bid history, and found my bidder bid £15 on 11 March for an item with a start price of £9.99, and retracted the bid on 16 March because they allegedly "entered wrong amount". I had a look at their profile page and there are no previous bid retractions on it. Odd.0 -

You'll see I posted at 7.30 so I was clearly off-duty

I posted on another forum recently and someone was amazed that a 'maverick' was asking advice on investing

and just to justify my last post, i know you are alot more experienced in this sort of thing, but financial problems do happen so it is possible, but i admit this buyer maybe bid and found it cheaper elsewhere or maybe not? who's to know?.Need to get rid of my Yankee Candle Habit, Not very money saving of me

surely you can't make an invalid bid retraction!? I recently did it for the first time in 5 years because the person received 4 negs from 4 different people on the same day I bid! You only get 3 choices to cancel! but its easy to do!

Sorry, but going bankrupt is not a valid bid retraction reason, and neither is finding it cheaper. They should have asked OP to cancel their bid if that was either of those. My TV is broken!
