I have a few thousand millions to take out myself, too. Be eternally grateful for some hard asset tips, and safer currencies, too.
The Singapore dollar looks a lot safer than sterling.
Hard Assets? You need look no further than some of my rice. Unlike sterling, you can eat it - perfect every time.
A couple of years back, my rice outperformed the FTSE 100. [True] As I recall, the commodity which outperformed everything else was cotton. So my underpants also outperformed the FTSE 100. [Also true]Been thinking about printing some more money, too. You can't ever have enough of the stuff.
No need. The government is doing that for you. They call it quantitative easing.Perfect every time0 -
Great quote here from the guy in charge of RBS who very reluctantly gave up his million pound plus bonus.
RBS boss 'nearly quit' over bonus
The chief executive of Royal Bank of Scotland Stephen Hester has told ITV News he was "within inches of quitting" during row over his bonus. He also told sixth formers at a school in Streatham in south London that "life is not about money."

I've converted all my savings into baked beans, plus a few cans of :spam:
Got a queue of supermarket delivery vans as far as the eye can see.
Neighbours look worried.
Having read Mortabreys posts, I realise you can't be too careful . . .

The one useful purpose served by loony-tune conspiracy theorists and wind-up trolls is that they cause the rest of us to feel a bit better about ourselves.No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

Presumably, the interest that you'll get from the rearrangement of your portfolio will be in the form of methane gas which you can utilise for your cooking and heating requirements ?
On a more sombre note, has any indication been given yet as to the nature of these "technical difficulties" ? Did the N.V.Q. level 3 works experience trainee at Natwest I.T. foul up on his project and will have to resit it in time for the August bank holidays or is it a more fundamental problem which could affect other banks ?
No doubt a government enquiry lasting several months and keeping a few "resting" senior bank officials could find out ?0 -

I just hope all this was ran by the world leaders at Goldman Sachs, they wont be impressed if someone is trying to deviate from the script.0 -

Bank machines in armagh are giving free money away. People with £20 in their accounts are going down and lifting out £3000 - £10,000 without a bother.. every machine is packed! Clearly they'll all have to pay it back but if it was me I'd be fu**ing away off too oz.. Off licences are packed too, no surprises for armagh, people get money and !!!! it away!"0 -
