London Summer Accommodation

Hi all!

I have an interview for a summer job in London on Monday. I am very excited as this is a great opportunity for me!

However I live all the way out in Norwich, and travel from Norwich would be
a) Very Expensive
b) Very Long winded

So I was wondering what people would suggest for accommodation? I know it will be higher prices due to the Olympics so anything cheap would be great!

I have a 16-25 rail card so I'm a member of the YHA. I have also looked into Student Accommodation and that would take a sizeable chunk out of my budget!

Also regarding Youth Hostels, would it be difficult for me sharing accommodation seeming as I will be staying long term?

Ideally the location would be within walking distance of Old Street, as this means no travel expenses.

The company has expressed that they would put money towards travel expenses but I will ask if it could be used towards accommodation expenses due to the nature of my travel.

So anyone had this experience before and recommend anything? Or in fact anyone spot something I haven't?

On the flat share sites (just google flat share) there are many who are offering short term lets during the summer. Have a look. However do not send any money to people you have never met.
