Hi Guys, Having trouble with new Echolife n router, I,m having to turn it off/on several times a day to connect to net.
Changed back to my old Speedtouch, BUT, it,s not recognizing any of the passwords/keywords I,ve got written down, so cannot connect wifi.
Is there a way to reset password if forgotten, it,s not on the router like my new one?

You could try logging on to the router and checking the wireless SSID and password.

    Try

My old, now-redundant Speedtouch is sitting on my window ledge, it has a reset button on the back, next to the DSL line input. It's one of those tiny inset ones that you need to use a ball-point or paper clip to press.

hi penrhyn, I tried that but it wouldn,t have it.ok now.
  • My method will work but is only recommended for advance users or if you can talk to technical support.

If you have a ADSL modem and the problem is not he ADSL but the wireless router then hold the restart for about 10-15 seconds and restart the router.
    Resetup the wireless router.

If the problem is with the ADSL modem then you hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds then the router will restart with all info blank, you then log in with the instructions from the manufacturer.

You then input manually, e.g. xxxx@xxinternet.com
    username, password etc...

Then you will be on your way
