Best all round Far Eastern city for me is Beijing.
But, if I was just going to kick back it would be Bangkok every time.
Never been to Macau but heard good things about it.0 -
I have been to Beijing, Hong Kong and Signapore and would happily go back to any of them for a few days.
It all depends on what you like doing really

Sounds like Beijing should be your first choice then, you are only an hour from the great wall and shopping is an experience
Lots of great food, but for some reason I decided not to try one restaurants speciality, pigs organ soup
But to be honest any of the cities in that part of the world are great to visit. I suppose it really comes down of where you can get the best flight and hotel deals.

KL for me. Lots of cultures, plenty to see and kind on the pocket.0

The biggest cost in Singapore is hotel accommodation. You are really talking European prices. KL, on the other hand, has some fantastic hotels at bargain prices - it's somewhere where you can really afford to stop in 5* hotels for the cost of a damp B&B at home. If you like food and shopping then KL is a great choice but the historic sites are outnumbered by shopping malls and the drinking is very expensive due it being a Muslim country.0
