I am looking to get the 'special girl' a pair of beautiful earrings and would like to seek your opinions as to where to get it from with a value of upto £150.
I like the drop earrings type (5.5cm drop etc), I know she likes them too as she wears them. Any particular jewellers you would recommend. Thank you

£150 on a pair of earings. Are you sure you want to spend that much.
If she is anything like me or my friends we always end up losing one.:o
Not too bad if they are cheap but i would be so upset if they were expensive. Don't think i would trust myself to wear them.
Anyway back to your original question if i was you i would just go and have a look in your local jewellers. I am sure you wil be able to find what you want.:D
Also make sure she definately likes them. Earings can't be changed.

I have checked beaverbrooks before and they do some nice ones. The one I like is £165. Just thinking if I should get her a watch instead? She has said in the past that she would rather I surprise her with a gift instead of taking her with me to buy them. She also said no matter what the gift is, its the thought that counts the most.

Well if you have got a good idea of the kind of thing she likes then you will be fine.
I too agree that it is the thought the counts but that is a lot of money you are talking about.
My DH bought me a watch for christmas. It was the complete opposite of what i wanted. Luckily it could be changed. He didn't mind at all as long as i would wear it.
The earings are very pretty but i really wouldn't want to spend or have someone else spend that much on them. Of course it is just my opinion. Think i have been on these boards far too long. Argos, Claire, Next or Dorothy Perkings are my choice.
I am sure she will love what ever you buy her. You are a very thoughtful Boyfriend, fiance, husband, brother, son. She is a very lucky lady. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile

Just to throw a spanner in the works here... but I loved the £50 ear rings that OG have me for christmas together with a bracelet - both were white gold and diamond (although he won't tell me howmuch the bracelet is I know it wasn't cheap...) and I wear both and the pendant he got me last year - also white gold and diamond. I know I would be upset if I lost any of them but having them in a box in a drawer is pointless... I love wearing them and he likes seeing me wear them and appreciate them

If you think she'll like them and you can afford them then get them! And don't forget to haggle
Nothing wrong with asking if they can do any better on the advertised price... you might get £20-30 off

Ordered it online and it arrived this morning. They look nice with artificial lights as this give it the sparkling effect. We are having dinner tomorrow (japanese) and will give it to her then, hope she will like it and gets loads of brownie points

Will keep you guys posted
