Egypt Troubles

Hi we are 2 families travelling to Sharm in Aug we have already been let down by 1 travel co which went bust forcing us to change from Turkey to Egypt. There appears to be big troubles brewing in Egypt at present hopefully this will calm but if not does anyone have any suggestions of where we could enjoy a beach and sightseeing fortnight for 10

  • The trouble is in Cairo. You won't see or hear any of it in Sharm. We were out there last year when there was trouble in Cairo and the only way i knew about it was thanks to BBC World News!

I hope we see no trouble but part of the adventure was visiting Luxor
Cairo,Jordan and Israel most of which will be a problem if things continue to heat up would rather go another year when things are more stable and we can travel around the country more freely

Hi there, we went in October and I wouldnt worry about it at all, we went to cairo on a Sunday and they started rioting in the square,(we only found out the next day while watching bbc world news!) but our personnal tour guide said they wait until later when the tourists leave,as their main income is from tourists, most tourists leave by 7 to catch flights/coaches back to sharm.

Sharm is in a tourist bubble, so no rioting happens there.
