Incorrect paypal transfer advice please

I've done something very silly:(, in that I was trying to send some money to my bank account via paypal.The transaction was instantaneously completed, but it now being 3 days later no funds have been added to my account and I've called up my bank who say I also have no pending payments. My banks says they can't do anything about it and I've been trying to contact paypal, but i have only received automated replies that have not been of any use. I've tried to refund the payment through my paypal account but an error keeps on coming up, i think because the status of the transaction is 'completed' and the advice of the FAQs is to contact the recipient but I have no idea who that is as the transfer/transaction was an error?

Any advice really appreciated, what should I do?

I don't really understand, withdrawing from your Paypal account to your bank account usually requires you to verify your bank account first, so you couldn't have withdrawn it to the wrong account.

The transfer says it is completed but it says the account is unconfirmed. I did the transfer before adding the account as my bank to my paypal account. My bank says there are no recent transactions from paypal to verify or the transfer I made.

Are you saying you've transferred the money to an account ha is not your own? If PP says it is completed, the destination will be whatever you entered. Does this differ at all?

If the wrong Sort or A/c is listed, no reversal is possible, as the instruction was correctly completed.

I double checked the details when entering but transaction is complete and no funds in my bank, so there's nothing i can do?

Funds transfers can take longer than 3 days.

I hope I'm just being overly anxious about the whole thing and hope that didnt make any mistakes.

The bank isn't Natwest by any chance? They had major issues over the last day or two with updating people's accounts properly.

Ah ok, was just a thought.

If you google a bit, you'll find that Paypal-to-bank transactions apparently can take up to 7 days, but consensus seems to be it's 3 to 5 days mostly.

As you have confirmed you used the correct account data, sit back and relax, your money will hopefully appear shortly.

Thanks all sorry as I checked for myself today at my bank and the transfer went through fine, I was worrying for nothing.
