Faster Payments - Nationwide to Lloyds TSB
Booters
Hi, this is my first post and I am not sure if it's in the correct place but here goes.
I have a Nationwide Flex Account, I need to make a payment to a Lloyds TSB account and have the funds cleared by 1pm on Saturday 24th June.
Usually I would just pay at least 5 days before however I am still waiting for some money to come into my Flex Account and I'm therefore unable to pay until Friday at the earliest, possibly Saturday morning.
I know that the faster payments system works between Lloyds and Nationwide, however I'm just wondering how reliable this is? If I transfer the money on Saturday morning will it go through in time?
I have heard form various places that it should take two hours.
Any help would be massively appreciated.
Thanks

It'll go immediately if everything's working.
Things don't always work. You can improve your chances by dancing three times round a mulberry bush, backwards."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
While it will go immediately, I would imagine if you send it on Saturday morning (and probably after a cut off time on Friday) it won't be cleared until Monday.0

Yeah I'd imagine this would be the case. It should show up in their account pretty much immediately and will be able to be withdrawn straight away though - so if they are paying a person/small business it should be completely fine.0 -
The posts above are true provided that the amount is for less than £10k.0
