Obviously everyone here tries to be old style (we all know it's not possible 24 hours a day)
In my experience, cooking from scratch doesn't need to be too expensive but can be time consuming and messy!
My dad thinks i hold the world record for making the most mess whilst making a simple salad!
The 'OS Kitchen picture thread was very popular'
Let's see if the 'this is how it looks whilst i'm cooking thread is just as much' xx
and this was only lunch time sandwiches!

Hi heavenleigh,
If that's your idea of a messy kitchen then I don't think I would dare post my pics of what my kitchen looks like when I'm 'creating'Though I am very good at cleaning up after myself!

Hmm - OK - I've studied the photos and have absolutely no idea what you are owning up to, apart from having a rather lovely kitchen/diner!!
I do like that hanging peggy thing though, would be very useful, what are they actually called? I don't think googling "hanging peggy thing" would get me very far0 -

Me neither.
I have an old (not ina good way) kitchen, with a coue of unreliable drawers whcih drop off the runners for no reason, a sink with a pin !!!!! hole in it and a bucket underneath oh,,...and a n exterior wall or two threatening to fall down. Atm, everything from the wal cupboards is on the benches or the kitchen table or next dor in the dining room, so i have a miniscule amout of stained but bleached workspace. I cannot wait to have my new temporary kitchen as anything is going to be better than this!0 -

Are these supposed to be messy or after pictures?!
we have just pulled out two sofas today and the contents of an entire living room were underneath them covered in dust so messy has a rather different meaning to me!0 -
must agree nice kitchen and nice and tidy plus where did you get that wallpaper????0

I have 3 of them and they each cost me £1.50 from Morrisons/Wilkinsons
And that kitchen is shockingly tidy! I shall take a picture of my kitchen after I have had a batch cooking session and then I shall hide behind the curtains with everyone else who has a messy kitchen!Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

I got one of those hangy peggy things and dh hung a hook in the airing cupboard. Anything desperate for drying gets hung in there and it's sorted within hours!
Also, like the stripy wallpaper. XBossymoo

Couldn't agree more with pink winged there.... That is a tidy kitchen in comparison to ours...
Things tend to get cluttered into corners gradually spreading out, not to mention the kitchen units etc are all the originals from when we first moved in and in dire need of replacing/updating.0
