I've edited my holiday video using Windows Live Movie Maker but can't see how to save it to DVD to view on my TV as a DVD.
It seems to need Windows DVD Maker but I don't think I have this.
Is there a free transfer program I can use instead?

Are you using XP?
I had a similar issue years ago. Windows Movie Maker was fine for editing the file but because XP cannot natively write to DVD I needed a stand alone DVD authoring program.
With later versions of Windows that can write to DVD you get DVD Maker and Movie Maker works seamlessly with it.
From memory I used CD Burner XP, despite the name it can author DVDs and it should still be available.
I'm a bit out of touch with Windows being a long time Linux and Mac user but I'm sure someone will be along soon with some alternative suggestions. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
I'm using Windows 7 and this apparently should come with DVD Maker but, if it did, I can't locate it!0

It should be in - C:\Program Files\DVD Maker\DVDMaker.exe0

Beat me to it :0)
If it's not there a search might turn it up.One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Which version of Windows 7 are you utilising?0

I've found this in DVD Maker but I'm not sure what to do next.
It contains 5 sub-folders:
en-US File Folder
Shared File folder
Pipeline.dll App extension 1810KB
Pipetran.dll App extension 1840 KB
WMM2CLIP.dll App extension 296K
The top one just contains
WMM2CLIP.dll.mui 7KB0 -
Is there a file called DVDMaker.ex?
If so you need to run this, you can create a short cut on the desktop, and point it at the edited file you created in Movie Maker. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0
