Entered wrong Ringo number

Hi,
I just got a ticket in a council car park. I paid using the phone ringo system, but entered the wrong location number (the number I entered was for another location I use sometimes - a 1 digit difference).
I didn't hear the repeat back thing as there was a lot of background noise (when they say "you've entered location xxxx - south lane east" (not real location).
Is there any hope? I will only be able to scan the ticket tonight, but has anyone else been able to get off because I did pay. I will appeal but am not confident.
Thanks

You have the option to take it to adjudication. De minimis might be a defence. I'm sure the adjudicators get a few of these daft pay by phone issues.0

Just thought I'd update - I challenged the pcn online, and just told them I'd paid at another car park location, and it was cancelled within the hour.
Well done richmond council - sense prevails over stupidity...0 -
