Help Please! Mbna -advice Needed

I hope that someone can offer some advice as I am a bit annoyed with MBNA.

I have an MBNA card (Abbey) and today applied for another MBNA run card (Virgin). I went through the (long) application and was eventually put through to the Underwriters. Was kept on hold and told that I could not have the card as my borrowings were high in comparison to my salary(which is £22,000). I stated that I did not want additional borrowing, but wanted to transfer the available credit on my existing MBNA card (being £6,800) to the new Virgin card (if accepted). (For information I have an outstanding balance of £2,195 on my existing MBNA card at 2.9% until July 2007). The chap again went away and, after holding for a few minutes, advised that he had spoken to his manager and advised that I could not have the card as they believed I had sufficient credit on my existing card! I didn't have time to argue as I was at work so accepted this. I am just wondering what I should do now,

I have the option to transfer the existing MBNA balance of £2,195 to my Morgan Stanley card who are offering 0% for 5 months (with a BT fee). This would then leave my MBNA card clear (with £9,000 credit available). My question is, do you think if I clear my card MBNA will offer me any 0% deals OR should I appeal their decision not to give me a new Virgin card in view of the fact that this is not increasing the amount of credit available to me, merely moving it to another card.

Any advice greatly (especially from those who have been in a similar situation) appreciated!

They have made me break by diet and eat some Millies Cookies! Grrrrr!!
