Also when I moved into my new place in November it was around the same time Electoral Roll had just happened so literally this last week I sent a letter in to the council to be put on Electoral Roll. I wasn't on it on my prev address I was at for 10 months but on all my other addresses I was.
This should update again only within 28days I believe. I sent the letter last week to Richmond Council and from reading on Experian site this will again only reflect in 28 days.
I could again possibly explain this. I didn't realise how important electoral roll was hence why I never did it at my last address.....
Thanks for you help
If you're not currently on the electoral roll, it'll just show up as an amber flag on your screening. They might ask you about it but it's not a black mark - black marks tend to be for inconsistency/untruths in your application or any serious debt issues e.g. CCJs and bankruptcy as far as we were aware.Barclaycard: [STRIKE]£1042[/STRIKE] £433.41 (me) [STRIKE]£996[/STRIKE] £580 (ex-OH)

The forms will probably only ask if you have any ccj's or if you have been declared bankrupt. It is unlikely it will ask you if you have ever defaulted. Honesty is the best policy, but my advise is not to volunteer information. I also work in recruitment for bank. (Not Barclays tho
)

We would credit check every candidate on Equifax and Experian, which would check for CCJs and bankruptcy. Make sure you answered every question on the application form correctly because if there is anything which is found to be untrue, it's a black mark.
However, I wouldnt give information that you haven't been asked about.
Employers and landlords can only access public data of a credit report - so that is why they are no bothered by CCJ's and bankruptcies - they can only search for them.
They can ask you for written permission to do a full credit search on you if required though. I thought the Experian rep would have known this?0
