My mother has just bought a frost free Bosch Exxcel fridge freezer from a local supplier for £449. She already has a Bosch fridge freezer which has been trouble free since she bought it about 2 years ago. Don't ask me why but apparently she wanted another one to sit beside the existing one to double her storage capacity!
I have a separate Bosch fridge and freezer. Each is about 3 years old and again trouble-free.Norn Iron Club Member 330

I bought a hoover fridge freezer for about £330 a few months back, good capacity and has been trouble free.
Last fridge in my flat was a hoover and lasted for 5 years (don't know how much it cost, as it was new when we moved in).:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!0 -
I've always assumed they divide into three groups: cheap, mid-range and top end, and that mid range gives you better reliability, and top end gives you more style and better cosmetics. Mid-range include Bosch, Siemens and Neff and I think those three are really the same make. Top end includes Miele. I suppose you really need a user survey to determine if mid range is more reliable than cheaper ones. There is a Which survey, but I am suspicious of Which after seeing their poor car reviews.
As an aside, I bought an expensive Kenwood Kmix blender, and it is far worse than the cheap one I had. Expensive need not mean better.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -

The ikea fridge freezer at £199 is excellent value for size and spec and comes with a 5 year warranty.0
