No insurance does, especially the baddies of Bupa. There are (as far as I know) 2 private A&E's which are Princess Grace and Spire Alexandra up t'north. May well be more....
Once stable you can be transferred if you have Bupa or any other pmi policyHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

So can you be admitted via A&E, undergo an operation and then say I want a private room please (if there are any of course) and the insurance company will pay?Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

All depends, the official line is that you can be transferred to a private room once stable. So, in effect, once post-operative then yes. You may be able to move sooner too. Bupa though are not to be trusted with this.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Check your policy, generally to be seen privately you need to be referred, usually by your GP. You could phone and ask BUPA if they would accept a referral from an A&E doctor. It may be that you would need to contact your surgery and ask them if they are willing to refer you following your visit to A&E.
All depends whether you have the time between needing the urgent admission and going privately. I would have thought that either:
a) you contact BUPA from the NHS hospital and ask if they will cover you for xx privately or,
b) If your condition means that you can contact your GP get a referral and arrange to see someone privately through BUPA, without the delay effecting your condition.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
