combined insurance America - medical unemployment etc insurances

Hi, looking for some general advice on insurances for injury , unemployment etc. My dad is self employed and his bank has suggested that that he take combined insurance package from combined insurance America. This works out at 2300per year this seems dear to me but is anyone able to advice. He is a single man with a mortgage.

Separately, could ppI be reclaimed from insurance policies or is it just loans. He seems to have a lot of policies.

Any assistance on the above is greatly appreciated.

Its possible to get unemployment cover and health insurance in one...if hes self employed though his business would have to be closed involutary - ie being wound up or insolvent.

So it might just be better to get health insurance and save your money from the unemployment side. If your planning on getting any insurance speak to a proper mortgage or financial advisor... they will probably get just as good cover if not better at a lower price.

PPI can be reclaimed for anything it was sold on - was it miss sold though? Just because he bought it on a number of different products doesnt mean it was miss sold.

Lots going on here, the Combined Insurance plan is abysmal. Don't do it.

"insurances for injury , unemployment etc.", you need to work out what, exactly, he's after.

Combined INs Co America plans tend to be pretty poor. Banks are also the most expensive place to buy insurances typically and their products tend to be lower quality or even cut down versions of those issued via the independent/whole of market distribution channel.

Anything can be mis-sold. It doesnt matter what it is. You cant claim premiums back willy nilly though. You must have grounds for complaint.
