Is the Lego shop at Westfield worth visiting & can we park nearby to go on tube?

Hi, we are staying near Wokingham in a couple of weeks and are planning on going into London for the day.
I have got the free friends and family railcard from one of the newspapers, I had looked at driving into the west of London but I don't know how logistical this will be. Obviously wish to do the trip as cheaply as possible.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks, FiFi

Hi,
Just Seen where Wokingham is, I thought it was near Worcester but yea your better if you go by train to change at Reading then get a fast train not a slow train and enjoy your day in London0 -
The journey via Reading is faster but the train will take you into Paddinton Station. If you go from Wokingham direct to London the journey is longer but you will be at Waterloo. I would check to see what you want to visit in London when you plan your journey - this site might help with the journey http://www.traveline.info/0

DS has mentioned before he would like to go to a Lego shop, I notice there is one in the Westfield Centre, is it worth visiting, we will also be going to Legoland another day.
Is there somewhere nearby we can park, would we be able to park on a street nearby and then jump on the underground, would like to go to Covent Garden, Harrods, Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.

I just checked and for 2 adults & 1 child with a 1-6 travelcard using yoru F&F railcard the price is £35.95 which I think is excellent value."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
Dont go to the Lego shop expecting it to be cheap though... I couldnt believe how much some of the stuff was in the one at Bluewater..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0

One change at Clapham Junction for a train directly to Shepherds Bush.0
