Changes to car insurance

Hello
I've had Trackstar fitted but my car insurer won't give me a discount even though it cost a fortune to fit. It's Thatcham Cat 5 approved, done by a factory fitter, not a cheapie. But when I did some quotes on a comparison website with the same data, they all came back with cheaper quotes, even the company I'm with - esure! Has anyone else come across this and do you have any advice? Should I cancel my policy and get another one?
Thanks.

You need to weigh up how much it would cost to cancel yuour policy mid term and factor in any charges Esure might levy before you go ahead and cancel. Who have you spoken to at Esure about this?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

The quotes on comparison sites are not always what they seem.
Sometimes standard items on your policy maybe excluded on the new quote.
Excess maybe higher, Seem to get a fair few complaints from people that are less than happy with their insurance after going through comparison websites.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks for your advice. I only rang esure to update my details, I didn't push it higher up the food chain. Yes, the cost to change now would probably be less than I'd save, but I think I'll still write to customer services. They always ask if you have anything extra fitted when you get a quote. And the comparison websites aren't what they seem either! No, sadly, I didn't go to Munich to get it fitted, just my BMW dealership, oops!
Thanks again for your help.0
