The JCP will write to the employer and check.0 -
Your head which says money and jobs are scarce is right, and on a lot of the temp work I've done I've earned less than 7 quid which is a nice handy figure under recent law changes, it's 50 quid a day for the sake of argument. Stay there. No point eating into either savings or overhead just for the sake of taking the Olympics off.
If it was Christmas on the other hand I would have said what the hell, it's two weeks. The whole of summer is three months. So keep working.0 -
If you think you can get away with it. They can and do check with the agancy to see if you were offered a renewal on your contract. If you were then you will not get JSA. Are you going to be looking for work between now and October. You need to spend a lot of time actually putting in some real effort finding a job. You should be searching for jobs and making at least one application every working day for a new job.williamcornwall wrote: »What if I just say the job came to its natural end?:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

If your going to claim JSA then dotn lie to the Job centre, look for another temp job or stick with what you have.
So fi you have saved up enough for what you want to do in october then how are you going to spend the summer if you have no money to spend as its for the venture in october ?0 -
Well, hey, if you don't want your job, I'll have it! Data entry would suit me just fine & at £7ph, I wouldn't complain. Beats being unemployed, that's for sure!0

If I were you I'd either try and find something part-time or stick it out for the moment, but perhaps leave in August if you want a break before you move on to whatever it is you are doing.0

Please could you give me your job? We can swap places!Wanted a job, now have one. :beer:0

You will need money all your life, the fact that this is temporary should help you easily get through the day, why on earth would you leave to watch day time tv, you might not need the money now but guarantee you will in the future!0

Oh my gosh, that's not the attitude!
My father pays in a year what the majority of people pay in over a life time (if not more!), that doesn't mean he walks around quitting every now and again because "he wants his money back".I have a simple philosophy:
Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.
