Windows explorer has stopped working

Trying to copy contents from discs to my hard drive but regularly getting this message and asking if i want to close the programme or debug it....virtually new laptop with windows 7.....any ideas?:mad:

What kind of discs? Audio CD? DVD-ROM? CD-R? HDD?0

If you have Vista which is a the worst OS in the world this is one of the problems.
First off: OS? Service Packs, have you updated them religiously? antivirus software ditto?
If you have Vista get the swearword off your machine and get an OS that does not f***k up with your system.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Whoops! Vista is responsible for so many technical woes so I leapt in literally without looking. I fear that Windows 7 will be a repeat of MS not taking on users grievances that were broadcast far and wide.
