Should I contact valuer or wait??

Hi everyone

1st time poster but long term Lerker.

We are currently in the process of buying my partner out of her share of their inherited property. All the searches came back fine at the end of may and then last week we receive one of the searches (an exact copy of one we already have) it mentioned that because of an old landfill nearby the land might be contaminated and that it would have to be referred back to the lender. I gave the solicitor a ring and they said that once they had the ok off the lender we were pretty much ready to sign contracts.

Any way the lender has sent everything to their valuer and are waiting on a reply, it's been with them for 3 days and I'm running out of patience. I've just done some digging and found contact details for their valuers. Should I contact myself and speed it up or am I being impatient?
Feel so frustrated knowing that if they would have spotted this At the end of may we would be complete by now ggrrrrrr

Ps sorry if it's long it's just I know from lerking you like to know the full story :)

Thanks in advance
