No I quite understand the question. The point is service stations are very rarely full, I use them and have never really seen them even a quarter full. Perhaps you misread the fact that scammers operate in these car parks?

I entirely agree. Can't speak for them all. but moto and roadchef you can pay inside. I'm sure Hardworker2010 can supply info on others.0 -
Pay on-line, great idea at 2am in the morning and your phone is basic and won't display the payment page.0

Edited that out then, we'll just concentrate on paying inside, if you can mange that concept. Speaking to a human, passing the money over, taking the ticket. Not a big issue.0

The simple fact that motorway service areas should provide unlimited free parking like they do in other countries.0
